On the journey of life, everyone have to struggle, face ups and downs. Obstacles and hardships are bound to be there in one's lives. But what is important is how we tackle them. It is the perception of an individual towards the same that defines the course of his life. It has been aptly remarked that "To be a champion, fight one more round". It is one's tireless pursuit that will lead him to success. Success and failure are the two facets of a coin. There are people who may give up or there are others who are ready to take the failure as a challenge. A brave person takes the failures as a challenge, to step up the ladder of success. Destiny also favours the brave.

It is our attitude towards the life that helps us to shape our destiny. Failures can be disheartening when one is unable to cope with the situation. At such times, one must remember that it is the cowards who run away from the situation.

It is seldom that a child can walk without tumbling or falling down. But these small failures do not deter his spirit. Slowly and gradually, he learns to stand on his feet and then walk It is because of the child's will power that he is able to stand upright. This gives us a lesson that we must try and try until we succeed.

" Success is a culmination of hard work, dedication, and determination. " 

It is not necessary that every effort bears fruit. But every step definitely gives us an experience and this experience is incomparable. Failures not only make us aware of our shortcoming but provide a learning lesson.

They hint towards an individual's weaknesses, lack of preparation or lack of efforts. A person who can learn from his failures and work upon them is bound to be successful in life. With each failure, an individual steps closer to the success.

The success, after a number of failures, is valued and cherished much more. If we look at the life history of the successful people, we find that every successful man has failed at some point of time in his life.

It is just that he was smart enough to extract learning from those failures. Every time they experienced a failure, they bounced back with a rejuvenated spirit. They did not let the rejection of a failure overcome their spirit to achieve their goals. This is what made them successful. 

Nothing great has ever been achieved without consistent effort in the face of innumerable difficulties. Here are some examples. Bill Gates, a Harvard University dropout, founded Microsoft in 1975, which became the world's largest PC software company. His first business Traf­-O-­Data failed but he did not give up and now became the wealthiest person in the world.

Another example was Walt Disney the creator of Micky Mouse and founder of Walt Disney company, winner of 22 Academy Award. Disney failed to join the United States Army and became an ambulance driver in Red Cross. In 1920s he set up the Disney Brothers Studio and made many famous animated films and got many academy awards. Later he founded Disneyland and Disney Park.

Similarly, JK Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, spent a life full of poverty and depression, before she wrote her first novel. Twelve publishing houses rejected to publish her first book, 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. There were six sequels and have become the best selling books in history. She has lived a 'rag to riches' life story and became one of the wealthiest women in UK.

Eventually, it is " Our patience and determination that leads us to the road of success. " One has to pay the price of his aspirations and dreams with his perseverance and dedication. As Rome wasn't built in a day, one cannot become successful overnight. The road to success is rough and patchy with hurdles and obstacles. But all failures become meaningless, once we accomplish our goals successfully.

अमेरिकावासी बहनो तथा भाईयो,

आपने जिस सौहार्द और स्नेह के साथ हम लोगों का स्वागत किया हैं, उसके प्रति आभार प्रकट करने के निमित्त खड़े होते समय मेरा हृदय अवर्णनीय हर्ष से पूर्ण हो रहा हैं। संसार में संन्यासियों की सब से प्राचीन परम्परा की ओर से मैं आपको धन्यवाद देता हूँ; धर्मों की माता की ओर से धन्यवाद देता हूँ; और सभी सम्प्रदायों एवं मतों के कोटि कोटि हिन्दुओं की ओर से भी धन्यवाद देता हूँ।
 
मैं इस मंच पर से बोलनेवाले उन कतिपय वक्ताओं के प्रति भी धन्यवाद ज्ञापित करता हूँ, जिन्होंने प्राची के प्रतिनिधियों का उल्लेख करते समय आपको यह बतलाया हैं कि सुदूर देशों के ये लोग सहिष्णुता का भाव विविध देशों में प्रचारित करने के गौरव का दावा कर सकते हैं। मैं एक ऐसे धर्म का अनुयायी होने में गर्व का अनुभव करता हूँ, जिसने संसार को सहिष्णुता तथा सार्वभौम स्वीकृति, दोनों की ही शिक्षा दी हैं। हम लोग सब धर्मों के प्रति केवल सहिष्णुता में ही विश्वास नहीं करते, वरन् समस्त धर्मों को सच्चा मान कर स्वीकार करते हैं। मुझे ऐसे देश का व्यक्ति होने का अभिमान हैं, जिसने इस पृथ्वी के समस्त धर्मों और देशों के उत्पीड़ितों और शरणार्थियों को आश्रय दिया हैं। मुझे आपको यह बतलाते हुए गर्व होता हैं कि हमने अपने वक्ष में यहूदियों के विशुद्धतम अवशिष्ट को स्थान दिया था, जिन्होंने दक्षिण भारत आकर उसी वर्ष शरण ली थी, जिस वर्ष उनका पवित्र मन्दिर रोमन जाति के अत्याचार से धूल में मिला दिया गया था । ऐसे धर्म का अनुयायी होने में मैं गर्व का अनुभव करता हूँ, जिसने महान् जरथुष्ट्र जाति के अवशिष्ट अंश को शरण दी और जिसका पालन वह अब तक कर रहा हैं। भाईयो, मैं आप लोगों को एक स्तोत्र की कुछ पंक्तियाँ सुनाता हूँ, जिसकी आवृति मैं बचपन से कर रहा हूँ और जिसकी आवृति प्रतिदिन लाखों मनुष्य किया करते हैं:
 
रुचिनां वैचित्र्यादृजुकुटिलनानापथजुषाम्
। नृणामेको गम्यस्त्वमसि पयसामर्णव इव ।। 

- जैसे विभिन्न नदियाँ भिन्न भिन्न स्रोतों से निकलकर समुद्र में मिल जाती हैं, उसी प्रकार हे प्रभो! भिन्न भिन्न रुचि के अनुसार विभिन्न टेढ़े-मेढ़े अथवा सीधे रास्ते से जानेवाले लोग अन्त में तुझमें ही आकर मिल जाते हैं। यह सभा, जो अभी तक आयोजित सर्वश्रेष्ठ पवित्र सम्मेलनों में से एक हैं, स्वतः ही गीता के इस अद्भुत उपदेश का प्रतिपादन एवं जगत् के प्रति उसकी घोषणा हैं: 

ये यथा मां प्रपद्यन्ते तांस्तथैव भजाम्यहम् । मम वर्त्मानुवर्तन्ते मनुष्याः पार्थ सर्वशः ।।

"जो कोई मेरी ओर आता हैं - चाहे किसी प्रकार से हो - मैं उसको प्राप्त होता हूँ। लोग भिन्न मार्ग द्वारा प्रयत्न करते हुए अन्त में मेरी ही ओर आते हैं।" साम्प्रदायिकता, हठधर्मिता और उनकी बीभत्स वंशधर धर्मान्धता इस सुन्दर पृथ्वी पर बहुत समय तक राज्य कर चुकी हैं। वे पृथ्वी को हिंसा से भरती रही हैं, उसको बारम्बार मानवता के रक्त से नहलाती रही हैं, सभ्यताओं को विध्वस्त करती और पूरे पूरे देशों को निराशा के गर्त में डालती रही हैं। यदि ये बीभत्स दानवी न होती, तो मानव समाज आज की अवस्था से कहीं अधिक उन्नत हो गया होता । पर अब उनका समय आ गया हैं, और मैं आन्तरिक रूप से आशा करता हूँ कि आज सुबह इस सभा के सम्मान में जो घण्टाध्वनि हुई हैं, वह समस्त धर्मान्धता का, तलवार या लेखनी के द्वारा होनेवाले सभी उत्पीड़नों का, तथा एक ही लक्ष्य की ओर अग्रसर होनेवाले मानवों की पारस्पारिक कटुता का मृत्युनिनाद सिद्ध हो।

4. संतोष से सुख Hindi Motivational Story

एक सेठजी का आकस्मिक स्वर्गवास हो गया। उनके बाद उनका लड़का मालिक बना। उसने एक दिन अपने पुराने मुनीम जी से पूछा कि मुनीम जी हमारे पास कितना धन है? मुनीम ने सोचा अभी यह लड़का है,इससे क्या कहें,क्या न कहें। मुनीम जी ने कहा-"सेठजी,आपके पास इतना धन है कि आपकी तेरह पीढ़ी बैठे-बैठे खा सकती हैं।" इसे सुनकर सेठजी का चेहरा उदास हो गया। सोचने लगे कि तेरहवीं पीढ़ी तक का तो इंतजाम है,लेकिन चौदहवीं पीढ़ी क्या खायेगी? सेठजी चिन्तित रहने लगे,जिसके कारण भूख और नींद ही हवा हो गई,तबियत उदास रहने लगी। सेठ जी को उदास देखकर मुनीम जी ने पूछा-"सेठ जी! एक उपाय करो। आप एकादशी का व्रत रखा करो और द्वादशी के दिन किसी सन्तोषी ब्राह्मण को सीधा(अन्नदान) दान कर दिया करो। आपकी सब चिंताएं दूर हो जायेंगी।

"सेठ जी ने ऐसा ही किया। तीन दिन बाद एकादशी थी। सेठ जी ने एकादशी का व्रत किया। दूसरे दिन प्रातः मुनीम जी से बोले-"सीधा अपने हाथ से ही ब्राह्मण को देना चाहिए।" सेठ जी ने एक सीधा लगवाया और मुनीम जी को साथ लेकर ब्राह्मण के दरवाजे पर गये। पंडित जी!सीधा ले लीजिये। पण्डित जी ने कहा-ठहरिये,मैं भीतर पण्डितानी से पूछ आऊँ।वह भीतर गए और पंडितानी से पूछा-"आज का क्या प्रबंध है?" ब्राह्मणी ने कहा-'आज का सीधा आ गया है।' पंडित जी बाहर आये और सेठजी से बोले-"सेठजी!आज का सीधा हमारे यहाँ आ गया है,आप इसे किसी दूसरे ब्राह्मण को दे दीजिये।" सेठजी बोले-"आज का आ गया है तो क्या हुआ,यह आपको कल काम देगा।"ब्राह्मण देवता ने कहा-"जिसने आज का प्रबंध किया है,वही कल का भी करेगा। हम भविष्य की चिंता नहीं करते।" ऐसा सुनते ही सेठजी सोचने लगे,"मुझे तो चौदहवीं पीढ़ी की चिंता है और इस ब्राह्मण को कल की भी चिंता नहीं!" सेठ जी की भीतरी आँखे खुल गई,उनकी चिंता दूर जो गई। भगवान का अनन्त भक्त भविष्य की चिंता नहीं करता।

3. लौकिक सुखों से परे सच्चा सुख Hindi Motivational Story

एक गाँव के मंदिर में एक ब्रह्मचारी रहता था। लोभ,मोह से परे अपने आप में मस्त रहना उसका स्वभाव था। कभी-कभी वह यह विचार भी करता था कि इस दुनिया में सर्वाधिक सुखी कौन है? एक दिन एक रईस उस मंदिर में दर्शन हेतु आया। उसके मंहगे वस्त्र,आभूषण,नौकर-चाकर आदि देखकर बह्मचारी को लगा कि यह बड़ा सुखी आदमी होना चाहिए। उसने उस रईस से पूछ ही लिया। रईस बोला-मैं कहाँ सुखी हूँ भैया! मेरे विवाह को ग्यारह वर्ष हो गए,किन्तु आज तक मुझे संतान सुख नहीं मिला। मैं तो इसी चिंता में घुलता रहता हूँ कि मेरे बाद मेरी सम्पति का वारिस कौन होगा और कौन मेरे वंश के नाम को आगे बढ़ाएगा? पड़ोस के गांव में एक विद्वान पंडित रहते हैं। मेरी दृष्टि में वे ही सच्चे सुखी हैं।

ब्रह्मचारी विद्वान पंडित से मिला,तो उसने कहा-मुझे कोई सुख नहीं है बंधु,रात-दिन परिश्रम कर मैंने विद्यार्जन किया,किन्तु उसी विद्या के बल पर मुझे भरपेट भोजन भी नहीं मिलता। अमुक गांव में जो नेताजी रहते हैं,वे यशस्वी होने के साथ-साथ लक्ष्मीवान भी है। वे तो सर्वाधिक सुखी होंगे। ब्रह्मचारी उस नेता के पास गया,तो नेताजी बोले-मुझे सुख कैसे मिले? मेरे पास सब कुछ है,किन्तु लोग मेरी बड़ी निंदा करते हैं। मैं कुछ अच्छा भी करूँ तो उसमें बुराई खोज लेते हैं। यह मुझे सहन नहीं होता। यहां से चार गांव छोड़कर एक गांव के मंदिर में एक मस्तमौला ब्रह्मचारी रहता है। इस दुनिया में उससे सुखी और कोई नहीं हो सकता। ब्रह्मचारी अपना ही वर्णन सुनकर लज्जित हुआ और वापिस मंदिर में लौटकर पहले की तरह सुख से रहने लगा। 

" उसे समझ में आ गया कि सच्चा सुख लौकिक सुखों में नहीं है बल्कि वह तो लौकिक चिंताओं से मुक्त अलौकिक की निः स्वार्थ उपासना में बसता है। समस्त भौतिकता से परे आत्मिकता को पा लेना ही सच्चे सुख व आनंद की अनुभूति कराता है। "

2. सेवा धर्म Hindi Motivational Story

एक साधु स्वामी विवेकानन्द जी के पास आया।

अभिवादन करने के बाद उसने स्वामी जी को बताया कि वह उनके पास किसी विशेष काम से आया है। "स्वामी जी, मैने सब कुछ त्याग दिया है,मोह माया के बंधन से छूट गया हूँ परंतु मुझे शांति नहीं मिली। मन सदा भटकता रहता है। 

एक गुरु के पास गया था जिन्होंने एक मंत्र भी दिया था और बताया था कि इसके जाप से अनहदनाद सुनाई देगा और फिर शांति मिलेगी। 

बड़ी लगन से मंत्र का जाप किया,फिर भी मन शांत नहीं हुआ।अब मैं परेशान हूँ।

" इतना कहकर उस साधु की आँखे गीली हो गई। "क्या आप सचमुच शान्ति चाहते हैं",विवेकानन्द जी ने पूछा। 

बड़े उदासीन स्वर में साधु बोला ,इसीलिये तो आपके पास आया हूँ। स्वामी जी ने कहा,"अच्छा,मैं तुम्हें शान्ति का सरल मार्ग बताता हूँ। 

इतना जान लो कि सेवा धर्म बड़ा महान है।

घर से निकलो और बाहर जाकर भूखों को भोजन दो,प्यासों को पानी पिलाओ,विद्यारहितों को विद्या दो और दीन,दुर्बल,दुखियों एवं रोगियों की तन,मन और धन से सहायता करो। 

सेवा द्वारा मनुष्य का अंतःकरण जितनी जल्दी निर्मल,शान्त,शुद्ध एवं पवित्र होता है,उतना किसी और काम से नहीं। ऐसा करने से आपको सुख,शान्ति मिलेगी।

" साधु एक नए संकल्प के साथ चला गया। उसे समझ आ गयी कि मानव जाति की निः स्वार्थ सेवा से ही मनुष्य को शान्ति प्राप्त हो सकती है।

1. आहार का कुप्रभाव Hindi Motivational Story

"किसी नगर में एक भिखारिन एक गृहस्थी के यहाँ नित्य भीख मांगने जाती थी। गृहिणी नित्य ही उसे एक मुठ्ठी चावल दे दिया करती थी। यह बुढ़िया का दैनिक कार्य था और महीनों से नहीं कई वर्षों से यह कार्य बिना रुकावट के चल रहा था। एक दिन भिखारिन चावलों की भीख खाकर ज्यों ही द्वार से मुड़ी,गली में गृहिणी का ढाई वर्ष का बालक खेलता हुआ दिखाई दिया। बालक के गले में एक सोने की जंजीर थी। बुढ़िया की नीयत बदलते देर न लगी। इधर-उधर दृष्टि दौड़ाई,गली में कोई और दिखाई नहीं पड़ा। बुढ़िया ने बालक के गले से जंजीर ले ली और चलती बनी।

घर पहुँची,अपनी भीख यथा स्थान रखी और बैठ गई। सोचने लगी,"जंजीर को सुनार के पास ले जाऊंगी और इसे बेचकर पैसे खरे करुँगी।" यह सोचकर जंजीर एक कोने में एक ईंट के नीचे रख दी। भोजन बनाकर और खा पीकर सो गई। प्रातःकाल उठी,शौचादि से निवृत्त हुई तो जंजीर के सम्बन्ध में जो विचार सुनार के पास ले जाकर धन राशि बटोरने का आया था उसमें तुरंत परिवर्तन आ गया। बुढ़िया के मन में बड़ा क्षोभ पैदा हो गया। सोचने लगी-"यह पाप मेरे से क्यों हो गया? क्या मुँह लेकर उस घर पर जाऊंगी?" सोचते-सोचते बुढ़िया ने निर्णय किया कि जंजीर वापिस ले जाकर उस गृहिणी को दे आयेगी। बुढ़िया जंजीर लेकर सीधी वहीं पहुँची। द्वार पर बालक की माँ खड़ी थी। उसके पांवों में गिरकर हाथ जोड़कर बोली-"आप मेरे अन्नदाता हैं। वर्षों से मैं आपके अन्न पर पल रही हूँ। कल मुझसे बड़ा अपराध हो गया,क्षमा करें और बालक की यह जंजीर ले लें।"

जंजीर को हाथ में लेकर गृहिणी ने आश्चर्य से पूछा-"क्या बात है? यह जंजीर तुम्हें कहाँ मिली?" भिखारिन बोली-"यह जंजीर मैंने ही बालक के गले से उतार ली थी लेकिन अब मैं बहुत पछता रही हूँ कि ऐसा पाप मैं क्यों कर बैठी?"

गृहिणी बोली-"नहीं, यह नहीं हो सकता। तुमने जंजीर नहीं निकाली। यह काम किसी और का है,तुम्हारा नहीं। तुम उस चोर को बचाने के लिए यह नाटक कर रही हो।"

"नहीं,बहिन जी,मैं ही चोर हूँ। कल मेरी बुद्धि भ्रष्ट हो गई थी। आज प्रातः मुझे फिर से ज्ञान हुआ और अपने पाप का प्रायश्चित करने के लिए मैंने आपके सामने सच्चाई रखना आवश्यक समझा," भिखारिन ने उत्तर दिया। गृहिणी यह सुनकर अवाक् रह गई।

भिखारिन ने पूछा-"क्षमा करें,क्या आप मुझे बताने की कृपा करेंगी कि कल जो चावल मुझे दिये थे वे कहाँ से मोल लिये गये हैं।"

गृहिणी ने अपने पति से पूछा तो पता लगा कि एक व्यक्ति कहीं से चावल लाया था और अमुक पुल के पास बहुत सस्ते दामों में बेच रहा था। हो सकता है वह चुराकर लाया हो। उन्हीं चोरी के चावलों की भीख दी गई थी।

भिखारिन बोली-"चोरी का अन्न पाकर ही मेरी बुद्धि भ्रष्ट हो गई थी और इसी कारण मैं जंजीर चुराकर ले गई। वह अन्न जब मल के रूप में शरीर से निकल गया और शरीर निर्मल हो गया तब मेरी बुद्धि ठिकाने आई और मेरे मन ने निर्णय किया कि मैंने बहुत बड़ा पाप किया है। मुझे यह जंजीर वापिस देकर क्षमा माँग लेनी चाहिए।"

गृहिणी तथा उसके पति ने जब भिखारिन के मनोभावों को सुना तो बड़े अचम्भे में पड गये। भिखारिन फिर बोली-"चोरी के अन्न में से एक मुठ्ठी भर चावल पाने से मेरी बुद्धि भ्रष्ट हो सकती है तो वह सभी चावल खाकर आपके परिवार की क्या दशा होगी,अतः, फेंक दीजिए उन सभी चावलों को।" गृहिणी ने तुरन्त उन चावलों को बाहर फेंक दिया।"

Teachers’ Transfer Bring The Whole Village To Tears Because...

Lucknow: Every day we come across the news which highlights the deplorable state of the primary education in India. Even, we shed tears on the fact that there are no visionary teachers and mentors to guide and teach the millions of school children in the rural areas. But what happened in two schools in Uttar Pradesh will surprise you.

The first story is of Avanish Yadav who joined a primary school in Gori Bazar in Devria, Uttar Pradesh as a teacher in 2009. When he joined he was pained to see the small number of students present in the class. While looking for the reason, he learnt that the majority of the residents in the village are wage-labourer and they take their children along with them to work. Avinash then started doing something extraordinary. He went to every house in the village, talked to the parents as why they should send their ward to schools. After much persuasion, he succeeded in bringing some more students to the school. For the last 6 years, he taught these students so well that those who were earlier unable to write their name even started talking about international issues. Finally, when the news of his transfer came, the students and even their parents were unable to hold back tears.

A similar story goes in the name of Munish Kumar who was a principal in a local primary school in Rampura, a small hamlet located in Shahbad, Western UP. His hard work and efficiency bore fruit as his school became one of the best in the entire district. He aimed for individual development of the children and he did that exactly. When he was to be transferred to another place, the parents and their children were in tears.

You Don’t think we need more teachers like them?

[Inspiration] How to never give up?

1) Stay Alive

Yes of course! This is the most important thing. There will be a lot of situations which push you down, which make you feel sad, which make you worry and also make you think that life is over. But find a way to stay alive. There will be light in the darkest corner of the sky. Just ensure that you are there to see it. It is very easy to give up and put your hands on your head and say it is all over. You can do that any day. It takes guts to stay alive, it takes guts to believe, it takes guts to stick to your guns when everything around you is falling apart. Success doesn’t lie in never falling, it lies in getting up as soon as possible and STAYING ALIVE

2) Lower your expectations

It is very optimistic of us to say that we are going to invent a product and the next day there would be a queue of people who would want to buy it no matter what price we quote. I am not here to shatter that dream of yours but I am going to tell you that inventing is just a part of the business. There is marketing, there is sales, there is brand building, there is negotiation, there is compromises and so much more. Though I would like to shoot to the stars, I would also like to know that it is sometimes unreasonable that a star comes in search of you. It takes time, it takes effort but it does come. Over 99.9% of the success has taken time, it has not happened overnight. So.. respect the time and cling on to your belief, it is bound to come with the right approach

3) Don’t be a wimp!

You are way stronger than you tell yourself and others know you as and infact stronger than you yourself know you as. You are more capable to handle the pain than you think. It is very natural and easy to drown in the glory of self pity and keep feeling sorry for yourself. If you keep feeling sorry about the way things are, you will keep feeling sorry for the rest of your life. So.. Buck up, it is going to be a tough wind out there, brace it. You were not born or raised to be a quitter!

4) Persist! 

We don’t mean to say that you should be stuck in the same loop forever. If plan A doesn’t work, go for plan B and then plan C. You have 26 letters there and if that doesn’t suffice you have A1 to An and then keep going on.. Point is, it depends on how much you believe in the dream, how much you believe in whatever you have put in for it. Nowhere on the birth certificate was it said that you would succeed at everything you put your hands on in life. You are going to miss out on a few things and the reasons might be as simple as a wrong timing or a big trust issue. But you gotta persist, the moment you give up or think of giving up, the dream dies and so does all the effort to get there.

5) Fake it! 

If you are falling short of motivation, FAKE IT! Think of how it will be to succeed. Think of all the dreams you would be realizing, think of how people around you would respond to it. You don’t have to wait for that one final day when success will sweep you off your feet, you can celebrate each day, be motivated by every event and that drives you forward and keeps driving you forward.

6) Don’t compare! 

Your life will always be different compared to your peers. The efforts they have put in and the efforts you have put in are different. There is something very special told about an entrepreneur – success comes to you like an exponential scale, all the effort that you have put in, all the sacrifices you have made will pay you back. You just have to wait till the tipping point where the scale changes. It will never be similar to what your friends or peers have but it will be that much better. So don’t worry about comparing, you are fighting with a bigger target here.

7) The night is the darkest before

We have heard of a hundred inspirational stories where people have flipped their lives in that one decisive moment the moment where they decided to persist, it may be SONY or KFC or APPLE or MICROSOFT, they have all had those bad days, the days which have made them think whether they should wind up. But what made them stay was that they decided to test the waters a little more and that little more made a hell lot of a difference !

[Inspiration] The Pregnant Dog And Elephant

An elephant and a dog became pregnant at same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued...

On the eighteenth month the dog approached the elephant questioning, ”Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. Whats going on?”.

The elephant replied, ”There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I’m carrying is mighty and great.”.

एक आदमी ने भगवान बुद्ध से पुछा : जीवन का मूल्य क्या है?

बुद्ध ने उसे एक Stone दिया और कहा : जा और इस stone का
मूल्य पता करके आ , लेकिन ध्यान रखना stone को बेचना नही है I

वह आदमी stone को बाजार मे एक संतरे वाले के पास लेकर गया और बोला : इसकी कीमत क्या है?

संतरे वाला चमकीले stone को देखकर बोला, "12 संतरे लेजा और इसे मुझे दे जा"

आगे एक सब्जी वाले ने उस चमकीले stone को देखा और कहा
"एक बोरी आलू ले जा और इस stone को मेरे पास छोड़ जा"

आगे एक सोना बेचने वाले के
पास गया उसे stone दिखाया सुनार उस चमकीले stone को देखकर बोला, "50 लाख मे बेच दे" l

उसने मना कर दिया तो सुनार बोला "2 करोड़ मे दे दे या बता इसकी कीमत जो माँगेगा वह दूँगा तुझे..

उस आदमी ने सुनार से कहा मेरे गुरू ने इसे बेचने से मना किया है l

आगे हीरे बेचने वाले एक जौहरी के पास गया उसे stone दिखाया l

जौहरी ने जब उस बेसकीमती रुबी को देखा , तो पहले उसने रुबी के पास एक लाल कपडा बिछाया फिर उस बेसकीमती रुबी की परिक्रमा लगाई माथा टेका l

फिर जौहरी बोला , "कहा से लाया है ये बेसकीमती रुबी? सारी कायनात , सारी दुनिया को बेचकर भी इसकी कीमत नही लगाई जा सकती ये तो बेसकीमती है l"

वह आदमी हैरान परेशान होकर सीधे बुद्ध के पास आया l

अपनी आप बिती बताई और बोला "अब बताओ भगवान , मानवीय जीवन का मूल्य क्या है?

बुद्ध बोले :

संतरे वाले को दिखाया उसने इसकी कीमत "12 संतरे" की बताई l

सब्जी वाले के पास गया उसने इसकी कीमत "1 बोरी आलू" बताई l

आगे सुनार ने "2 करोड़" बताई lऔर जौहरी ने इसे "बेसकीमती" बताया l

अब ऐसा ही मानवीय मूल्य का भी है l

" तू बेशक हीरा है..!!लेकिन, सामने वाला तेरी कीमत,
अपनी औकात - अपनी जानकारी - अपनी हैसियत से लगाएगा। "

घबराओ मत दुनिया में.. तुझे पहचानने वाले भी मिल जायेगे।

[Inspiration] IPS Officer Shalini Agnihotri, Daughter of Bus Conductor

Shalini Agnihotri did her schooling from DAV school, Dharamshala and pursued her BSc (agriculture) at Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Palampur (HPK). She has secured 285th rank in the UPSC civil services 2011 in the first attempt. She has brought honour to the university. She is the daughter of a bus conductor. Hailing from a simple middle-class family of Thathal village in Una district, she passed out with flying colours.

She has added another feather to her cap by winning the Best Trainee Award at the National Police Academy, Hyderabad. She also won the Prime Minister’s baton and the home ministry’s revolver for being the best all-round trainee officer of the 65th batch of the IPS. She was honoured by President Pranab Mukherjee during the passing-out parade at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in 2013.The selection of a personality for Himachali of the Year award was not an easy job as many.

Himachalies have performed outstandingly at various levels during the past year. However, the judges’ panel unanimously selected Shalini Agnihotri of Una district as Himachali of the Year 2013. She also bagged the Vandana Malik Trophy for the best all-around female officer trainee, L B Sewa Trophy for the best female officer trainee in outdoor subjects, Alakh Sinha Trophy for investigation, G S Arya Trophy for best officer trainee in co-curricular activities and the Home Ministry’s Trophy for best essay writing on ‘communal harmony and national integration‘ . Shalini has been allotted her home state cadre.

Earlier, she was selected as relationship manager with ING Vysya Group through campus placement and as assistant conservator of forests through HP forest services – examination, 2011. Shalini has emerged as a role model and inspiration for women.

IPS Shalini Agnihotri told that she desired to serve people through while she was analysing various career available. Shalini has achieved this position due to her desire police services. She has multifaceted talent since her early childhood days. Apart from being a meritorious student, Shalini is also a good sportswoman. She has represented CSK HPKV and PAU badminton teams in All India Inter University Badminton Championship while she was pursuing her graduation and post-graduation at these institutes.

“My father has always been supportive and encouraging. He has been my role model and I owe my success to him,” says Shalini. Born in Una ( HP). Her father, Ramesh, says he is delighted with his daughter’s achievement. “I would like to tell people to encourage their daughters rather than suppressing their goals,” He adds.

Her mother Shubhlata, a homemaker, said, “I am glad about her performance.” Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, vice- chancellor, PAU, congratulated at ed Shalini for the achievement and said she has added another feather to her cap by making it to the UPSC Civil Services.

Don’t you think that she gave us the best example of women empowerment?

Her father is an auto driver and mother is house wife. And undoubtly the support of her sister Goutami Pappu is exceptional for all time. Last but not least she is my cousin sister.

The success I’m enjoying now is not due to my own abilities alone but is also due to my family members and my friends support. I want to thank my guide and guru Dr.D.B.Kumar sir and also Dr.P.Nagaraju sir for their faith in me and for their continuous support.

My father is an auto driver but when I asked him about civil services he didn’t say that it is beyond his capacity but said that he will use his entire strength to achieve my dream and will be there with me and asked me to not to loose my willpower until I achieve success. My mother is a housewife . She may not know what a civil servant will have to do as part of their job but she always said that we should have positive attitude and should see Ray of hope in every odd situation. She built such attitude in me which made me to withstand all difficulties that I faced in this path. Love u amma .

My sister made me to see my dreams with her eyes. She dreamt only for me. She gave her support to my father in all ways and together they didn’t let me notice the difficulties they are facing daily. Proud to have such a sister and I’m left with no words to talk about her. Love u darling .

The Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see & asked the students
“How much do you think this glass weighs?”

the students answered.

“I really don’t know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is:
What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?”

‘Nothing’ …..the students said.
~
‘Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?’ the professor asked.

‘Your arm would begin to ache’ said one of the student
~
“You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”
~
“Your arm could go numb; you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!” Ventured another student & all the students laughed
~
“Very good. But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?” Asked the professor.
~
‘No’…. Was the answer.
~
“Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?”
~
The students were puzzled.
~
“What should I do now to come out of pain?” asked professor again.
~
“Put the glass down!” said one of the students .
~
“Exactly!” said the professor.
Life’s problems are something like this, Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK. Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.

Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.
~
It’s important to think of the challenges or problems in your life, But EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to ‘PUT THEM DOWN’ at the end of every day before you go to sleep… . That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh & strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!

सफलता के बीज मंत्र (Pravachan : Just for Motivation)

महात्मा नित्यानंद ने अपने शिष्यों को बाँस से बनी बाल्टियां पकड़ाकर कहा : जाओ, इन बाल्टियों में नदी से जल भर लाओ। आश्रम में सफाई करनी है। नित्यानंद की इस विचित्र आज्ञा को सुनकर सभी शिष्य आश्चर्यचकित रह गए। भला बाँस से बनी बाल्टियों में जल कैसे लाया जा सकता था! फिर भी, सभी शिष्यों ने बाल्टियां उठाईं और जल लेने नदी तट की ओर चल दिए। वे जब बाल्टियां भरते, तो सारा जल निकल जाता था। 

अंतत: निराश होकर एक को छोड़कर सभी शिष्य लौट आए और महात्मा नित्यानंद से अपनी दुविधा बता दी। लेकिन, एक शिष्य बराबर जल भरता रहा। जल रिस जाता तो पुन: भरने लगता। शाम होने तक वह इसी प्रकार श्रम करता रहा। इसका परिणाम यह हुआ कि बाँस की शलाकाएं फूल गईं और छिद्र बंद हो गए। तब वह बड़ा प्रसन्न हुआ और उस बाल्टी में जल भरकर गुरुजी के पास पहुँचा। जल से भरी बाल्टी लाते देख महात्मा नित्यानंद ने उसे शाबाशी दी और अन्य शिष्यों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा,..

“विवेक, धैर्य, निष्ठा व सतत् परिश्रम से दुर्गम कार्य को भी सुगम बनाया जा सकता है।

सफलता कोई ऐसी वस्तु नहीं है कि आपने माँगा या चाहा और आपको मिल गई। इसे तुंरत प्रस्तुत नहीं किया जा सकता, इसमें लगातार परिश्रम करना होगा। एक कठिन परिश्रमी व्यक्ति ही सफलता पाता है, और अपने कारण पाता है, दूसरों के कारण नहीं। इसीलिए सफल व्यक्ति याद किए जाते हैं।

किसी भी कार्य को पूरी तरह करने के लिए कुशलता के साथ कार्य की निरन्तरता भी आवश्यक होती है। ऐसा नहीं करना चाहिए कि आज किया, फ़िर कुछ दिन आराम करें, फ़िर करें। ऐसा करने से कार्य तो रुकता ही है, वह ठीक तरह से होता भी नहीं क्योंकि एकाग्रता भंग होती है। मन उतना नहीं लगता जितनी उस कार्य को जरुरत होती है, और सफलता भी रुक जाती है, आपके साथी आपसे आगे हो जाते हैं। इसलिए अपने काम को एक रफ़्तार देनी होगी तभी सफलता प्राप्त होगी, आवश्यक समय और प्रयास निरंतर देना होगा।

श्री कृष्ण ने गीता में कहा है- संशयात्मा विनश्यति! अर्थात- जिसमें संशय हो उसका विकास नही होता।

किसी काम को करने के पहले अगर मन में दो तरह के विचार रहते हैं कि करें या न करें, इसे करने से लाभ होगा या नहीं, मन की यह स्थिति असफलता की तरफ़ ले जाती है। काम के पूरा होने से पहले फल की कल्पना करना और कामना करना ग़लत है, ऐसा करने से कर्म करने की कुशलता घट जाती है क्योंकि मन संदेह के घेरे में रहता है। पूरी तरह मन को एकाग्र करके कर्म करने से काम तो कुशलता से होता ही है फल भी अवश्य अच्छा आता है।

याद रखिये जीवन में अपना विवेक ही अपना सच्चा साथी है। अपनी बुद्धि श्रेष्ठ हो, इसका प्रयत्न हमेशा करना चाहिए क्योंकि बुद्धि के द्वारा सब कुछ जीता जा सकता है और सब कुछ पाया जा सकता है।”

Truly Inspiring Real Life Incident: Shila Ghosh at Pally [West Bengal]

Shila Ghosh: a lady 83 years old who lives @ pally in West Bengal.

• Every evening she comes from Pallu to kolkata to sell the fries.The pedestrians out of respect buy the fries from her. After lung cancer took away her only son from her 5 years back,to make ends meet she works.Her nephew aged 30 works as a mover on meagre wages in pally.

• When asked if she has a problem in travelling,she weakly smile ans says “No,the bus gets me here and my health is not that bad”.

• She earns 400 rupees per day but still it is less for her family of four.Circumstances could have easily forced her to beg but her dignity and respect is everything for her,she would work till the end of her life rather than beg on the streets.

• When we go on complaining, let us remember her… she has chose to solve her problems on her own for as they say God helps them those who help themselves.

Wonderful woman...

May god give her all the strength…

कितने लोग इस भगत सिंह को जानते हैं

इंसान को संस्कार सिर्फ माता पिता या परिवार से ही नहीं मिलते. समाज भी अपने ढंग से संस्कारों के बीज बोता है. पिछली सदी के शुरुआती साल कुछ ऐसे ही थे. उस दौर में संस्कारों और विचारों की जो फसल उगी, उसका असर आज भी दिखाई देता है. उन दिनों गोरी हुक़ूमत ने ज़ुल्मों की सारी सीमाएं तोड़ दी थीं. देशभक्तों को कीड़े मकोड़ों की तरह मारा जा रहा था. किसी को भी फाँसी चढ़ा देना सरकार का शग़ल बन गया था. ऐसे में जब आठ साल के बालक भगत सिंह ने किशोर क्रांतिकारी करतार सिंह सराभा को वतन के लिए हँसते हँसते फाँसी के तख़्ते चढ़ते देखा तो हमेशा के लिए करतार देवता की तरह उसके बालमन के मंदिर में प्रतिष्ठित हो गए. चौबीस घंटे करतार की तस्वीर भगत सिंह के साथ रहती. सराभा की फाँसी के रोज़ क्रांतिकारियों ने जो गीत गाया था, वो भगत सिंह अक्सर गुनगुनाया करता. इस गीत की कुछ पंक्तियाँ थीं- फ़ख्र है भारत को ऐ करतार तू जाता है आज/ जगत औ पिंगले को भी साथ ले जाता है आज/ हम तुम्हारे मिशन को पूरा करेंगे संगियो/ क़सम हर हिंदी तुम्हारे ख़ून की खाता है आज/

कुछ बरस ही बीते थे कि जलियाँवाला बाग़ का बर्बर नरसंहार हुआ. सारा देश बदले की आग में जलने लगा. भगत सिंह का ख़ून खौल उठा. कुछ संकल्प अवचेतन में समा गए. 1857 के ग़दर से लेकर कूका विद्रोह तक जो भी साहित्य मिला, अपने अंदर पी लिया. एक एक क्रांतिकारी की कहानी किशोर भगतसिंह की ज़ुबान पर थी. होती भी क्यों न. परिवार की कई पीढ़ियाँ अंगरेज़ी राज से लड़तीं आ रही थीं. दादा अर्जुनसिंह, पिता किशन सिंह, चाचा अजीत सिंह और चाचा स्वर्ण सिंह को देश के लिए मर मिटते भगत सिंह ने देखा था. चाचा स्वर्ण सिंह सिर्फ 23 साल की उमर में जेल की यातनाओं का विरोध करते हुए शहीद हो चुके थे. दूसरे चाचा अजीत सिंह को देश निकाला दिया गया था. दादा और पिता आए दिन आंदोलनों की अगुआई करते जेल जाया करते थे. पिता गांधी और कांग्रेस के अनुयायी थे तो चाचा गरम दल की विचारधारा का प्रतिनिधित्व करते थे. घर में घंटों बहसें होती थीं. भगत सिंह के ज़ेहन में विचारों की फसल पकती रही.

सोचिए! भगत सिंह पंद्रह-सोलह साल के थे और नेशनल कॉलेज लाहौर में पढ़ रहे थे. देश को आज़ादी कैसे मिले, इस पर अपने शिक्षकों और सहपाठियों से चर्चा किया करते थे. जितनी अच्छी हिन्दी और उर्दू, उतनी ही अंगरेज़ी और पंजाबी. इसी कच्ची आयु में भगत सिंह ने पंजाब में उठे भाषा विवाद पर झकझोरने वाला लेख लिखा. लेख पर हिन्दी साहित्य सम्मेलन ने पचास रूपए का इनाम दिया. भगत सिंह की शहादत के बाद 28 फ़रवरी, 1933 को हिंदी संदेश में यह लेख प्रकाशित हुआ था. लेख की भाषा और विचारों का प्रवाह अदभुत है. एक हिस्सा यहाँ प्रस्तुत है- "इस समय पंजाब में उर्दू का ज़ोर है. अदालतों की भाषा भी यही है. यह सब ठीक है परन्तु हमारे सामने इस समय मुख्य प्रश्न भारत को एक राष्ट्र बनाना है. एक राष्ट्र बनाने के लिए एक भाषा होना आवश्यक है परन्तु यह एकदम नहीं हो सकता. उसके लिए क़दम क़दम चलना पड़ता है. यदि हम अभी भारत की एक भाषा नहीं बना सकते तो कम से कम लिपि तो एक बना देना चाहिए. उर्दू लिपि सर्वांग -संपूर्ण नहीं है. फिर सबसे बड़ी बात तो यह है कि उसका आधार फारसी पर है. उर्दू कवियों की उड़ान चाहे वो हिन्दी( भारतीय ) ही क्यों न हों -ईरान के साक़ी और अरब के खजूरों तक जा पहुँचती है. क़ाज़ी नज़र-उल-इस्लाम की कविता में तो धूरजटी, विश्वामित्र और दुर्वासा की चर्चा बार बार है, लेकिन हमारे उर्दू, हिंदी, पंजाबी कवि उस ओर ध्यान तक न दे सके. क्या यह दुःख की बात नहीं? इसका मुख्य कारण भारतीयता और भारतीय साहित्य से उनकी अनभिज्ञता है. उनमें भारतीयता आ ही नहीं पाती, तो फिर उनके रचे गए साहित्य से हम कहाँ तक भारतीय बन सकते हैं?…तो उर्दू अपूर्ण है और जब हमारे सामने वैज्ञानिक सिद्धांतों पर आधारित सर्वांग-संपूर्ण हिंदी लिपि विधमान है, फिर उसे अपने अपनाने में हिचक क्यों? हिंदी के पक्षधर सज्जनों से हम कहेंगे कि हिंदी भाषा ही अंत में एक दिन भारत की भाषा बनेगी, परंतु पहले से ही उसका प्रचार करने से बहुत सुविधा होगी."
सोलह-सत्रह बरस के भगत सिंह की इस भाषा पर आप क्या टिप्पणी करेंगे? इतनी सरल और कमाल के संप्रेषण वाली भाषा भगत सिंह ने बानवे-तिरानवे साल पहले लिखी थी. आज भी भाषा के पंडित और पत्रकारिता के पुरोधा इतनी आसान हिंदी नहीं लिख पाते और माफ़ कीजिए हमारे अपने घरों के बच्चे क्या सोलह-सत्रह की उमर में आज इतने परिपक्व हो पाते हैं. नर्सरी-केजी-वन, केजी-टू के रास्ते पर चलकर इस उमर में वे दसवीं या ग्यारहवीं में पढ़ते हैं और उनके ज्ञान का स्तर क्या होता है- बताने की ज़रूरत नहीं. इस उमर तक भगत सिंह विवेकानंद, गुरुनानक, दयानंद सरस्वती, रवींद्रनाथ ठाकुर और स्वामी रामतीर्थ जैसे अनेक भारतीय विद्वानों का एक-एक शब्द घोंट कर पी चुके थे. यही नहीं विदेशी लेखकों-दार्शनिकों और व्यवस्था बदलने वाले महापुरुषों में गैरीबाल्डी और मैजिनी, कार्ल मार्क्स, क्रोपाटकिन, बाकुनिन और डेनब्रीन तक भगत सिंह की आँखों के साथ अपना सफ़र तय कर चुके थे.

उमर के इसी पड़ाव पर परंपरा के मुताबिक़ परिवार ने उनका ब्याह रचाना चाहा तो पिता जी को एक चिठ्ठी लिखकर घर छोड़ दिया.

सोलह साल के भगत सिंह ने लिखा,

पूज्य पिता जी,

नमस्ते!

मेरी ज़िंदगी भारत की आज़ादी के महान संकल्प के लिए दान कर दी गई है. इसलिए मेरी ज़िंदगी में आराम और सांसारिक सुखों का कोई आकर्षण नहीं है. आपको याद होगा कि जब मैं बहुत छोटा था, तो बापू जी (दादाजी) ने मेरे जनेऊ संस्कार के समय ऐलान किया था कि मुझे वतन की सेवा के लिए वक़्फ़ (दान) कर दिया गया है. लिहाज़ा मैं उस समय की उनकी प्रतिज्ञा पूरी कर रहा हूँ. उम्मीद है आप मुझे माफ़ कर देंगे

भगतसिंह

घर छोड़कर भगतसिंह जा पहुँचे थे कानपुर. महान देशभक्त पत्रकार गणेश शंकर विद्यार्थी उन दिनों कानपुर से प्रताप का प्रकाशन करते थे. वे तब बलवंत सिंह के नाम से लिखा करते थे. उनके विचारोतेजक लेख प्रताप में छपते और उन्हें पढ़कर लोगों के दिलो दिमाग में क्रांति की चिनगारी फड़कने लगती. उन्हीं दिनों कलकत्ते से साप्ताहिक मतवाला निकलता था. मतवाला में लिखे उनके दो लेख बेहद चर्चित हुए. एक का शीर्षक था- विश्वप्रेम. पंद्रह और बाईस नवंबर 1924 को दो किस्तों में यह लेख प्रकाशित हुआ. लेख के इस हिस्से में देखिए भगत सिंह के विचारों की क्रांतिकारी अभिव्यक्ति.

” जब तक काला-गोरा, सभ्य-असभ्य, शासक-शासित, अमीर-ग़रीब, छूत-अछूत आदि शब्दों का प्रयोग होता है, तब तक कहाँ विश्व बंधुत्व और कहाँ विश्व प्रेम? यह उपदेश स्वतंत्र जातियाँ दे सकती हैं. भारत जैसा ग़ुलाम देश तो इसका नाम भी नहीं ले सकता. फिर उसका प्रचार कैसे होगा? तुम्हें शक्ति एकत्र करनी होगी. शक्ति एकत्रित करने के लिए अपनी एकत्रित शक्ति ख़र्च कर देनी पड़ेगी. राणा प्रताप की तरह ज़िंदगी भर दर-दर ठोकरें खानी होंगी, तब कहीं जाकर उस परीक्षा में उतीर्ण हो सकोगे……. तुम विश्व प्रेम का दम भरते हो. पहले पैरों पर खड़े होना सीखो. स्वतंत्र जातियों में अभिमान के साथ सिर ऊँचा करके खड़े होने के योग्य बनो. जब तक तुम्हारे साथ कामागाटा मारु जहाज़ जैसे दुव्यवहार होते रहेंगे, तब तक डैम काला मैन कहलाओगे, जब तक देश में जालियांवाला बाग़ जैसे भीषण कांड होंगे, जब तक वीरागंनाओं का अपमान होगा और तुम्हारी ओर से कोई प्रतिकार न होगा, तब तक तुम्हारा यह ढ़ोंग कुछ मानी नहीं रखता. कैसी शांती, कैसा सुख और कैसा विश्व प्रेम? यदि वास्तव में चाहते हो तो पहले अपमानों का प्रतिकार करना सीखो. माँ को आज़ाद कराने के लिए कट मरो. बंदी माँ को आज़ाद कराने के लिए आजन्म कालेपानी में ठोकरें खाने को तैयार हो जाओ. मरने को तत्पर हो जाओ.
मतवाला में ही भगत सिंह का दूसरा लेख 16 मई, 1925 को बलवंत सिंह के नाम से छपा. ध्यान दिलाने की ज़रूरत नहीं कि उन दिनों अनेक क्रांतिकारी छद्म नामों से लिखा करते थे. युवक शीर्षक से लिखे गए लेख का एक टुकड़ा प्रस्तुत है-

“अगर रक़्त की भेंट चाहिए तो सिवा युवक के कौन देगा? अगर तुम बलिदान चाहते हो तो तुम्हे युवक की ओर देखना होगा. प्रत्येक जाति के भाग्य विधाता युवक ही होते हैं. ……सच्चा देशभक्त युवक बिना झिझक मौत का आलिंगन करता है, संगीनों के सामने छाती खोलकर डट जाता है, तोप के मँह पर बैठकर मुस्कुराता है, बेड़ियों की झनकार पर राष्ट्रीय गान गाता है और फाँसी के तख्ते पर हँसते हँसते चढ़ जाता है. अमेरिकी युवा पैट्रिक हेनरी ने कहा था, जेल की दीवारों के बाहर ज़िंदगी बड़ी महँगी है. पर, जेल की काल कोठरियों की ज़िंदगी और भी महँगी है क्योंकि वहाँ यह स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के मू्ल्य रूप में चुकाई जाती है. ऐ भारतीय युवक! तू क्यों गफ़लत की नींद में पड़ा बेखबर सो रहा है. उठ! अब अधिक मत सो. सोना हो तो अनंत निद्र की गोद में जाकर सो रहा…… धिक्कार है तेरी निर्जीवता पर. तेरे पूर्वज भी नतमस्तक हैं इस नपुंसत्व पर. यदि अब भी तेरे किसी अंग में कुछ हया बाकी हो तो उठकर माता के दूध की लाज रख, उसके उद्धार का बीड़ा उठा, उसके आंसुओं की एक एक बूंद की सौगंध ले, उसका बेड़ा पार कर और मुक्त कंठ से बोल- वंदे मातरम!
प्रताप में भगत सिंह की पत्रकारिता को पर लगे. बलवंत सिंह के नाम से छपे इन लेखों ने धूम मचा दी. शुरुआत में तो स्वयं गणेश शंकर विद्यार्थी को पता नहीं था कि असल में बलवंत सिंह कौन है? और एक दिन जब पता चला तो भगत सिंह को उन्होंने गले से लगा लिया. भगत सिंह अब प्रताप के संपादकीय विभाग में काम कर रहे थे. इन्हीं दिनों दिल्ली में तनाव बढ़ा. दंगे भड़के और विद्यार्थी जी ने भगत सिंह को रिपोर्टिंग के लिए दिल्ली भेजा. विद्यार्थी जी दंगों की निरपेक्ष रिपोर्टिंग चाहते थे. भगत सिंह उनके उम्मीदों पर खरे उतरे. प्रताप में काम करते हुए उन्होंने महान क्रांतिकारी शचिन्द्रनाथ सान्याल की आत्मकथा बंदी जीवन का पंजाबी में अनुवाद किया. इस अनुवाद ने पंजाब में देश भक्ति की एक नई लहर पैदा की. इसके बाद आयरिश क्रांतिकारी डेन ब्रीन की आत्मकथा का अँगरेजी से हिंदी अनुवाद किया. प्रताप में यह अनुवाद आयरिश स्वतंत्रता संग्राम शीर्षक से प्रकाशित हुआ. इस अनुवाद ने भी देश में चल रहे आज़ादी के आंदोलन को एक वैचारिक मोड़ दिया.

गणेश शंकर विद्यार्थी के लाडले थे भगत सिंह. उनका लिखा एक एक शब्द विद्यार्थी जी को गर्व से भर देता. ऐसे ही किसी भावुक पल में विद्यार्थी जी ने भगत सिंह को भारत में क्रांतिकारियों के सिरमौर चंद्रशेखर आज़ाद से मिलाया. आज़ादी के दीवाने दो आतिशी क्रांतिकारियों का यह अदभुत मिलन था. भगत सिंह अब क्रांतिकारी गतिविधियों और पत्रकारिता दोनों में शानदार काम कर रहे थे. गतिविधियाँ बढ़ीं तो पुलिस को भी शंका हुई. खुफिया चौकसी और कड़ी कर दी गई. विद्यार्थी जी ने पुलिस से बचने के लिए भगत सिंह को अलीगढ़ ज़िले के शादीपुर गाँव के स्कूल में हेडमास्टर बनाकर भेज दिया. पता नहीं शादीपुर के लोगों को आज इस तथ्य की जानकारी है या नहीं.

भगत सिंह शादीपुर में थे तभी विद्यार्थी जी को उनकी असली पारिवारिक कहानी पता चली. विद्यार्थी जी खुद शादीपुर गए और भगत सिंह को मनाया कि वो अपने घर लौट जाएँ. दरअसल भगत सिंह के घर छोड़ने के बाद उनकी दादी की हालत बिगड़ गई थी. दादी को लगता था कि शादी के लिए उनकी ज़िद के चलते ही भगत सिंह ने घर छोड़ा है. इसके लिए वो अपने को कुसूरवार मानती थीं. भगत सिंह को पता लगाने के लिए पिताजी ने अख़बारों में इश्तेहार दिए थे. ये इश्तेहार विद्यार्थी जी ने देखे थे, लेकिन तब उन्हें पता नहीं था कि उनके यहाँ काम करने वाला बलवंत ही भगत सिंह है. इसी के बाद वे शादीपुर जा पहुँचे थे. भगत सिंह विद्यार्थी जी का अनुरोध कैसे टालते. फौरन घर रवाना हो गए. दादी की सेवा की और कुछ समय बाद पत्रकारिता की पारी शुरू करने के लिए दिल्ली आ गए. दैनिक वीर अर्जुन में नौकरी शुरू कर दी. जल्द ही एक तेज तर्रार रिपोर्टर और विचारोतेजक लेखक के रूप में उनकी ख्याति फैल गई.

इसके अलावा भगत सिंह पंजाबी पत्रिका किरती के लिए भी रिपोर्टिंग और लेखन कर रहे थे. किरती में वे विद्रोही के नाम से लिखते थे. दिल्ली से ही प्रकाशित पत्रिका महारथी में भी वो लगातार लिख रहे थे. विद्यार्थी जी से नियमित संपर्क बना हुआ था. इस कारण प्रताप में भी वो नियमित लेखन कर रहे थे. पंद्रह मार्च 1926 को प्रताप में उनका झन्नाटेदार आलेख प्रकाशित हुआ. एक पंजाबी युवक के नाम से लिखे गए इस आलेख का शीर्षक था- भारतीय क्रांतिकारी आंदोलन का परिचय और उपशीर्षक था- होली के दिन रक्त के छींटे. इस आलेख की भाषा और भाव देखिए- “असहयोग आंदोलन पूरे यौवन पर था. पंजाब किसी से पीछे नहीं रहा. पंजाब में सिक्ख भी उठे. ख़ूब ज़ोरों के साथ. अकाली आंदोलन शुरू हुआ. बलिदानों की झड़ी लग गई.”
काकोरी केस के सेनानियों को भगत सिंह ने सलामी देते हुए एक लेख लिखा. विद्रोही के नाम से. इसमें वो लिखते हैं “हम लोग आह भरकर समझ लेते हैं कि हमारा फ़र्ज पूरा हो गया. हमें आग नहीं लगती. हम तड़प नहीं उठते. हम इतने मुर्दा हो गए हैं. आज वे भूख हड़ताल कर रहे हैं. तड़प रहे हैं. हम चुपचाप तमाशा देख रहे हैं. ईश्वर उन्हें बल और शक्ति दे कि वे वीरता से अपने दिन पूरे करें और उन वीरों के बलिदान रंग लाएँ. जनवरी 1928 में लिखा गया यह आलेख किरती में छपा था. इन दो तीन सालों में भगत सिंह ने लिखा और खूब लिखा. अपनी पत्रकारिता के ज़रिए वो लोगों के दिलोदिमाग पर छा गए. फ़रवरी 1928 में उन्होंने कूका विद्रोह पर दो हिस्सों में एक लेख लिखा. यह लेख उन्होंने बी एस संधु के नाम से लिखा था. इसमें भगत सिंह ने ब्यौरा दिया था कि किस तरह छियासठ कूका विद्रोहियों को तोप के मुंह से बाँध कर उड़ा दिया गया था. इसके भाग-दो में उनके लेख का शीर्षक था -युग पलटने वाला अग्निकुंड. इसमें वो लिखते हैं- “सभी आंदोलनों का इतिहास बताता है कि आज़ादी के लिए लड़ने वालों का एक अलग ही वर्ग बन जाता है, जिनमें न दुनिया का मोह होता है और न पाखंडी साधुओं जैसा त्याग. जो सिपाही तो होते थे, लेकिन भाड़े के लिए लड़ने वाले नहीं, बल्कि अपने फ़र्ज़ के लिए निष्काम भाव से लड़ते मरते थे. सिख इतिहास यही कुछ था. मराठों का आंदोलन भी यही बताता है. राणा प्रताप के साथी राजपूत भी ऐसे ही योद्धा थे और बुंदेलखंड के वीर छत्रसाल और उनके साथी भी इसी मिट्टी और मन से बने थे”. यह थी भगत सिंह की पढ़ाई. बिना संचार साधनों के देश के हर इलाक़े का इतिहास भगतसिंह को कहाँ से मिलता था, कौन जानता है.

मार्च से अक्टूबर 1928 तक किरती में ही उन्होंने एक धारावाहिक श्रृंखला लिखी. शीर्षक था आज़ादी की भेंट शहादतें. इसमें भगतसिंह ने बलिदानी क्रांतिकारियों की गाथाएँ लिखीं थी. इनमें एक लेख मदनलाल धींगरा पर भी था. इसमें भगतसिंह के शब्दों का कमाल देखिए-“फाँसी के तख़्ते पर खड़े मदन से पूछा जाता है- कुछ कहना चाहते हो? उत्तर मिलता है- वन्दे मातरम! माँ! भारत माँ तुम्हें नमस्कार और वह वीर फाँसी पर लटक गया. उसकी लाश जेल में ही दफ़ना दी गई. हम हिन्दुस्तानियों को दाह क्रिया तक नहीं करने दी गई. धन्य था वो वीर. धन्य है उसकी याद. मुर्दा देश के इस अनमोल हीरे को बार बार प्रणाम."
भगतसिंह की पत्रकारिता का यह स्वर्णकाल था. उनके लेख और रिपोर्ताज़ हिन्दुस्तान भर में उनकी कलम का डंका बजा रहे थे. वो जेल भी गए तो वहां से उन्होंने लेखों की झड़ी लगा दी. लाहौर के साप्ताहिक वन्देमातरम में उनका एक लेख पंजाब का पहला उभार प्रकाशित हुआ. यह जेल में ही लिखा गया था. यह उर्दू में लिखा गया था. इसी तरह किरती में तीन लेखों की लेखमाला अराजकतावाद प्रकाशित हुई. इस लेखमाला ने देश के व्यवस्था चिंतकों के सोच पर हमला बोला. उनीस सौ अट्ठाइस में तो भगत सिंह की कलम का जादू लोगों के सर चढ़ कर बोला. ज़रा उनके लेखों के शीर्षक देखिए- धर्म और हमारा स्वतंत्रता संग्राम, साम्प्रदायिक दंगे और उनका इलाज, सत्याग्रह और हड़तालें, विद्यार्थी और राजनीति, मैं नास्तिक क्यों हूँ, नए नेताओं के अलग अलग विचार और अछूत का सवाल जैसे रिपोर्ताज़ आज भी प्रासंगिक हैं. इन दिनों दलितों की समस्याएं और धर्मांतरण के मुद्दे देश में गरमाए हुए हैं लेकिन देखिए भगत सिंह ने 87 साल पहले इस मसले पर क्या लिखा था -” जब तुम उन्हें इस तरह पशुओं से भी गया बीता समझोगे तो वो ज़रूर ही दूसरे धर्मों में शामिल हो जाएंगे. उन धर्मों में उन्हें अधिक अधिकार मिलेंगे, उनसे इंसानों जैसा व्यवहार किया जाएगा फिर यह कहना कि देखो जी ईसाई और मुसलमान हिन्दू क़ौम को नुकसान पहुंचा रहे हैं, व्यर्थ होगा. कितनी सटीक टिप्पणी है? एकदम तिलमिला देती है. इसी तरह एक और टिप्पणी देखिए- “जब अछूतों ने देखा कि उनकी वजह से इनमें फसाद हो रहे हैं. हर कोई उन्हें अपनी खुराक समझ रहा है तो वे अलग और संगठित ही क्यों न हो जाएं? हम मानते हैं कि उनके अपने जन प्रतिनिधि हों. वे अपने लिए अधिक अधिकार मांगें. उठो ! अछूत भाइयो उठो! अपना इतिहास देखो. गुरु गोबिंद सिंह की असली ताक़त तुम्ही थे. शिवाजी तुम्हारे भरोसे ही कुछ कर सके. तुम्हारी क़ुर्बानियाँ स्वर्ण अक्षरों में लिखीं हुईं हैं. संगठित हो जाओ. स्वयं कोशिश किए बिना कुछ भी न मिलेगा. तुम दूसरों की खुराक न बनो. सोए हुए शेरो! उठो और बग़ावत खड़ी कर दो.

इस तरह लिखने का साहस भगत सिंह ही कर सकते थे. बर्तानवी शासकों ने चाँद के जिस ऐतिहासिक फांसी अंक पर पाबंदी लगाईं थी, उसमें भी भगतसिंह ने अनेक आलेख लिखे थे. इस अंक को भारतीय पत्रकारिता की गीता माना जाता है.

और अंत में उस पर्चे का ज़िक्र, जिसने गोरों की चूलें हिला दी थीं. आठ अप्रैल ,1929 को असेम्बली में बम के साथ जो परचा फेंका गया, वो भगत सिंह ने लिखा था. यह परचा कहता है- बहरों को सुनाने के लिए बहुत ऊंची आवाज़ की आवश्यकता होती है…. जनता के प्रतिनिधियों से हमारा आग्रह है कि वे इस पार्लियमेंट का पाखंड छोड़ कर अपने अपने निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में लौट जाएं और जनता को विदेशी दमन और शोषण के खिलाफ क्रांति के लिए तैयार करें… हम अपने विश्वास को दोहराना चाहते हैं कि व्यक्तियों की हत्या करना सरल है, लेकिन विचारों की हत्या नहीं की जा सकती.

[Inspiration Story] Ashok Khemka IAS Officer (Duity: 23 Years 46 Transfer)

• He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 1988 with a B.Tech degree in Computer Science Engineering and followed it up with a Ph.D in Computer Science from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai and a MBA degree in Business Admn. Finance. He also holds a MA Economics degree from IGNOU. He also has many publications on various subjects to his name. Awarded the S R Jindal Prize in 2011 for "Crusade against Corruption" with a cash prize of Rs. 10 Lakhs along with Sanjiv Chaturvedi for his efforts in exposing corruption in high places. He also recieved the Manjunath Shanmugam Trust Commendation on Public Works in 2009.

• He is a 1991 batch IAS officer of the Haryana Cadre. He has been repeatedly transferred by various state governments in his home cadre of Haryana after he exposed corruption in the departments he was posted in. Khemka was posted as Secretary to the Govt. of Haryana, Deptt. of Archives and Archaeology on 4 April 2013. He was also given the charge of DG Archives and Archaeology on 26 April 2013. This is his 45th posting in his 20-year career excluding his 2 yr training period.

• And, it's for this reason that Khemka, an intelligent officer with impeccable integrity, evokes extreme reactions within his bureaucratic fraternity that is enjoying a cozy relationship with the political brass in the present Congress regime. While he is seen by many as a whistleblower who exposes wrongdoings in departments where he is posted, the officer has also used the Right to Information Act (RTI) to ferret out information relating to undue favours availed by some of his colleagues, irrespective of their position in the pecking order in the state .

[Part A] How to Write an Essay ?

• When we go for a movie in theatre then at first we listen to music. Why ? Because it prepares our mind for movie. We might enter the theater with different moods but music makes our mind very warm. It is like warm up before exercise.. All agree till now ??

• The introduction of an essay is like foreplay or music in theatre before beginning the movie. The introduction familiarizes the examiner what he is going to read. It prepares the mind of the examiner towards the latter part. So introduction must have the capacity to sway the mind of examiner and it must give him an holistic view what he is going to read.

• After that movie begins in screen. Characters come. In first part of the movie we get a simple idea about the nature and purpose of the characters of the movie.. Right ? All agree ?

• After beginning we get an idea about the characters of the movie. In that way ; after introduction we give an idea about the different aspects of topic in an essay . Right ? Then what happens ? Conflict arises. The parents does not recognise the love of her daughter. Because lover is outcast. In that way; after introduction and briefing ; we have to bring different conflicting ideas related with the topics. Agree ?

• Till now we have seen introduction.. Briefing.. And conflicting... Now movie is in full swing. Action...tragedy..drama. The parents keep daughter in closed room. Hero comes to meet her climbing window. The goons beat him and throw him into river.....

• Then we are curious what will happen ? Whether hero will die or not...it is called climax.

• In essay; after presenting confliction we have to bring climax. How ? We have to relate the conflicting aspects of the topic with various elements of society...country.. Etc...agree ?

• Climax means how the elements of confliction will again conflict with elements of climax. Climax is an extended version of conflict.. Agree???

• After that " literary relief " appears. What does it mean ? It means it calms down our curiosity and blood pressure thinking what will happen to hero

• Fortunately an old lady treats hero and makes him good. On the other hand condition of heroine is bad. She escaped from house. But on the way goons want to kidnap her. Hero appears . saves her. Union of two families. Marriage. Party.

• In that way after climax we have to give our solution to the conflicts of the essay. Agree ?

• After appearing in happy ending what happens ? The producer shows some moments of shooting...

• After solution in essay we have to give a conclusion summarizing all points of the essay with an optimistic view.

• In a movie we see dance ; music etc. It enhance our attraction towards movie. In that way your language; Your structure ; Your viewpoint and analysis will be supplement to music of a movie. We will discuss about it in details in next article...

Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose : 118th Birth anniversary

Many of us know very little about Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose's student life. So on his birthday here are a few facts which will double your liking for the man he was. 

• Shubash Chandra Bose's first headmaster Beni Madhav Das had understood how brilliant and scintillating the 'Genius' of this boy was.

• Shubash Chandra Bose secured 2nd position in matriculation examination in 1913. 

• Shubashji then studied briefly at Presidency college where he was expelled for assaulting Professor Oaten for the latter's anti-India comments. This shows his nationalistic temperment.

• Netaji studied for ICS only in 8 months and secured 4th rank and rejected a beautiful life ahead of him by not accepting to join the service which meant working under british.

• Netaji wrote a letter to his brother "Only on the soil of sacrifice and suffering can we raise our national edifice" and resigned from his job. This shows how deeply he loved India and was waiting for the day to kick britishers out of his mother-land.

• Netaji then started his own newspaper 'Swaraj' under the guidance of Chittaranjan Das, who was known for his aggressive nationalism.

And the rest as they say is 'HISTORY'. But sadly even today Bose's death is a mystery. Hope we will get to know about his death soon.
